Friday Poem - To Jane: The Invitation by Percy Bysshe Shelley
Today seemed like as good a day as any to try something new on my blog, which sulks all too often from lack of attention, and since I spent the early part of the evening reading Shelley aloud to myself I thought I'd try recording one of the poems. I chose my favourite one of the night's reading - 'To Jane: The Invitation'.
Then, being the sort of person who is quite willing to distract himself with shiny technology when something has been achieved, I started tinkering with synth noises as well. This is the result. I hope you enjoy it, dear reader.
My aim is to put up a recorded poem every Friday (not necessarily with a synth backing, though I may if the mood takes me, and no one objects wildly to this one), and they will be poems from before the point at which copyright kicks in, because I can't afford to seek permissions and I am in the mood to teach myself more about poetries of the past (not necessarily from Britain).
